Catch Up Time

It seems like I haven't posted in over a year...there's a lot to catch up on, so bear with me!
First off, I went to treatment in September 2022 for addiction and mental health issues. I was there for almost three months, but god, it felt like so much longer. I'm currently almost 10 months clean/sober and this shit isn't easy. I wouldn't be able to do this life thing without the fellowship of A.A. and the support that follows.
Since I got out of treatment in late November, I've been living in St. Pete with my Dad and working at a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Pinellas Park. I'm very tired of my job and so happy to announce that I will be leaving soon!
I'M GETTING TOP SURGERY on July 31st!!! This process has taken so long, and I'm so excited to finally get these large, dysphoric-filled sacks off of my body. My surgeon is Jake Laun from USF Health. I'll be having the surgery at Tampa General Hospital (TGH). I'm lucky enough to have my insurance fully cover this surgery. I had to get a recommendation letter from both my therapist and a psychiatrist with a doctorate and prove that I have a current Primary Care Physician (PCP) for them to cover it.
So, I'm currently going to A.A. at least four times a week, along with seeing my therapist once a week and psychiatrist once a month. I'm working on my 9th step, which includes apologizing for all of the wrongdoings that I caused during my active addiction. I just landed a job as a paraprofessional at an ESE school in Clearwater, I'll be starting after I am recovered from my top surgery. I am currently miserable at my job and am so excited to only have a few weeks left of it.
Even though things are starting to look up, my mental health has been suffering. My psychiatrist is increasing a few of my meds, so we will see if that helps. He thinks I have treatment-resistant depression and wants me to try Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) which seems scary.
I've been reading a lot of books. Currently, I am reading Pageboy by Elliot Page, I'm a little over halfway through. I haven't been writing, which is why I decided to start here. Even if it's just a few sentences a day, I need to start writing again.
Anyways, thank you for reading this. I'm trying my best, and that's all I can do. One day at a time.
