Top Surgery Update #2

Yesterday was my follow-up appointment for my top surgery. My dad and I waited about an hour before we were taken back to a maze of hallways, and then the room. There was a med student that came in first, and I swear he was like 21 at the most. I couldn't even imagine being a med student at that age. I was getting way too fucked up.
Anyway, the surgeon came in and took off all of my bandages, and then FINALLY took out my drains. It kind of hurt, but I was so relieved to finally have them out. The surgeon told me that everything looks great and I still have to wrap my chest for another month while refraining from lifting anything over five pounds.
I've already lifted both of my cats a few times on accident. I think they are both under ten pounds, but it didn't hurt at all. The surgeon stated that the limit is so I don't rip the incisions and bleed, which kind of starts the process of healing my cuts over again.
I'm so excited to have a flat chest. I feel amazing and like my wish has come true. I no longer have to look down and be reminded of my dysphoria, which feels so odd.
