What the fuck am I supposed to do with an English degree?

After sixteen years of school, I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in December of 2020. I felt like I was a kitten being thrown into the forest; I had to figure it out on my own. My dream is to be an author, but that shit is hard. I am attempting to get a job at the local library. Right now I work at the Walmart Neighborhood Market. The job is easy and I love it but I would rather be reading or writing. I don’t know, I feel like working in a library would be pretty chill. I’m just saying that USF really didn’t prepare us for what we were supposed to do after we graduate. By the time it was my last semester I was totally burnt out and didn’t want to visit the career center.

I think I am just a burnt out person right now.
