My girlfriend and I got a twelve week old kitten last week. We named her Rosie, after my mom, because roses were her favorite flower. She's a sweetheart and very playful. We have another adult cat, Smokey, who is about four. He smacked her a few times to tell her that he is in charge, but they seem to tolerate each other now. Rosie attempts to play with Smokey, but he isn't really having it yet. This morning I was watching them play and Smokey was trying to lick her lil beans, like her paws. Does this mean something?

We are trying to make Rosie an adventure cat, which consists of bringing her everywhere with us. I know in my bio section, I mentioned that my mother passed away recently. I think getting this kitten is going to help out with my emotions. Even just playing with her takes my mind off of everything going on in my brain.

We purchased a bright blue leash and a midnight blue harness, with gold stars on it for her. The foster mom told us that she had a bug stuck in her nose for most of the beginning of her life, which led to her not eating as much as a kitten normally would. Since they removed the bug, she is veryyyyy curious about new smells, and will sniff my whole face in the mornings. She also had worms before we adopted her, so she was very small the first day we had her. The harness is currently too big for her, and it's kitten sized! We have maneuvered it to where it is safe and works for her now. She is definitely growing fast!
